Zoo and the Pear

Colt and I had an absolute BLAST at the zoo last week. I didn't realize how much he would love it. When we got to the lions he growled at them! It was so cute! What a smart little guy. : )

He loved pushing the stroller.

Some nice couple took a few pics for us
The bird atrium was hilarious.

Just being silly

BIG NEWS!!!!

NO, I am NOT pregnant.

1. We are moving to Nashville in April!!! I am still in shock mode. We knew we would eventually get moved somewhere with Jordan's job, but never imagined it would be to TN! And you won't believe the story behind it!!!!

About 6 months ago I emailed the President of the company's wife. (We are friends. They are actually some best friends to Jordan's parents.) It was right after a trip to TN, and I was homesick. I told her that I had just gotten back from TN and there were empty factories everywhere and lots of people needing jobs. It would be the perfect place for a new Martin Sprocket plant and I knew just the guy who could be sent there!!! (wink! wink!) They have like 30 plants worldwide, but closest to Nashville WAS Atlanta....so that is where I was praying to be sent! So about 5 minutes after I sent her that email I was so embarrassed! I should not have done that....so I thought!!! Next time I saw her I apologized and said I was just homesick. She was sweet as pie about it though. WEELLLLLLLLL....Monday Jordan was in his weekly meeting with all big wigs (he is in like an executive training program with the company) and they told him they are going to start a new plant in NASHVILLE and wanted him and a few others to go get it going!!! OMG. Jordan was like, "You have no idea how happy my wife is going to be!" They were like, "think it over and get back to us." Ummmm.....no thinking needed!!! : ) Now the good part.....Jordan gets a call the next morning from the President of the company. He asks Jordan what I thought about it all. Jordan said I couldn't be happier. Then the President says, "Well, that plant was supposed to be somewhere else, but then after Linda got that email from Lori, we had it moved to Nashville!" I KNOW!!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!! I am humbled and in awe of their kindness and thoughtfulness! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? I sent him a text that said, "You are my HERO. Thank you from the bottom of my heart." And he replied, "You told Linda we needed a place in that part of the world. I'm just doing what my wife tells me to do!" Hahaha! Isn't that AMAZING!!!!??? Yes, we sent them flowers.

So now that I just got us unpacked and settled here, I will start packing for Nashville. I will say, however, that we are very sad to leave all our friends and family here. It's like one minute I am jumping for joy and the next I am boo-hooing. It is the ultimate bittersweet. I LOVE Texas. I love my friends here and I love Jordan's family. We will be back often to visit though!

2. Big news #2! I started a new job as a Stella & Dot Stylist!!!! If you look at my previous post you will see that I was hosting a Trunk Show. Well I did, and I LOVED it! All my friends and family LOVED it too. As a hostess I racked up in free jewelry and the Stylist did very well too. I have been looking for something to do from home and felt that God led me to this. I am VERY EXCITED! The best part is there is NO sales pitch at the show and NO pressure what-so-ever. Just get girls together, try on fabulous jewelry, and gab! What is not to love? Stella & Dot is not really in TN yet, so I am excited to bring it there! It is made alongside Niemans and Prada jewelry. Been in InStyle, Lucky, seen on Paris Hilton, Debra Messing, and LOTS of others to name a few! Check it out....it sells itself!

So you TN gals, how about picking out your favorite thing and letting me do a Trunk Show for you to get it for you free!? I am going to need your help to get it going in our new home of TN!!! : ) (and anywhere else within a couple of hours!!! KY, GA.....)

Let me know what you think about the jewelry! And really, I do want to know everyone's fave pieces so I can add them to my collection to have at the shows. I am trying to get as many opinions as I can so I have a good variety to display.
