Anybody there?

It's been awhile, folks! It's hard for me to remember to take pics on my real camera every now and again instead of my iPhone. But really, I have just been a blog slacker....big time. These pics date back quite a bit, but thought I better get them on here for the memories.

This one is obviously from back in like May when Colt still had long hair. This must be when I told him he was going to have a sibling....
and this is the reaction. : )

Here we are planting our modest garden. Colt was so helpful sitting right in the middle of it all, and he was like a mule and would not move.
So I planted around him.

Colt and his women....
1. Miss Lola. He loves his Lola. We are so lucky to be able to play with her several times a month. Side note....not so sure what is going on with the hair. I think it was windy, humid, and rainy that day. Anyone with curly hair knows that is a disaster waiting to happen on your head.
2. Miss Ella Grace. Played with her a few times. She's a doll.

3. Last, but certainly not least, is cousin Haley. These two are like bread and butta. Tied at the hip and oh-so-hilarious.

4th of July

The SAY CHEESE! face
Me and Deana at HOOPLA in San Fran (mid July). HOOPLA is the big annual Stella & Dot conference. What a FUN weekend! Already looking forward to the one next year.
On the Red Carpet, dah-ling.

And then there is my little iPhone man. He has his own apps and can work that phone like you wouldn't believe!
That caught us up a bit.
Almost 16 weeks pregnant now. We find out boy or girl on Sept 14, and I can hardly wait! Heart rate was 165 today. Most everyone is predicting a girl.....we'll see! I am wanting a brother for Colt and a girl for me, so it works out either way!
Not much else going on around here. READY FOR FALL.
Until next time....

Colt's News!

This is supposed to be the t-shirt Colt is wearing......

but instead, we got tired of waiting on it to come in the mail... so I went to Hobby Lobby and made this one instead!

You see, the plan was for Colt to walk into my parent's house with his BIG BRO shirt on and for them to freak out! Things happened quite differently....
Jordan and I are NOT the type to wait to tell any sort of news. We were just bursting having to keep it in! Ends up we confessed to secretly telling some of our friends before we were supposed to! Anyway, after waiting for over 2 weeks for that shirt to come (I ordered it off Etsy), I decided to take things into my own hands. Saturday I went to Hobby Lobby and got the goods for the above shirt. I had my sis Julie call and find out where my parents would be that night....verdict: at Granny and Papa's watching THE Auction (it's a big deal in our parts). PERFECT! So we loaded up and drove to surprise them. They were shocked to see us and we said we just couldn't bear to miss that auction! tee-hee! And let me tell you, after all that pining over the BIG BRO shirt, NOT A ONE of them even began to notice it! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!? Finally after like 30 minutes, mom was like, "Why are you smiling so big and being weird?" And I was like, "Would you PLEASE take a closer look at Colt!!!!???" It FINALLY sunk in and they were all thrilled. It was a riot. All that work for a stupid shirt and they don't even notice it! Crazy, I tell ya.
Of course we couldn't be happier! And to answer your burning questions....
1. No, it wasn't a surprise. Happened immediately, so it was sooner than we expected!
2. I am 7 weeks along.
3. Go to the doc on Tues for an ultrasound and official due date.....but BabyCenter.com tells me I am due Feb. 1.
4. We don't prefer a boy or girl over the other. Always thought I wanted a slew of girls, but now that I have my sweet Colt, I will take all boys! Would love Colt to have a little sis, but also would love him to have a brother to grow up with.
5. Yes, I have been sick. Not throwing up, the other end. TMI, I know, but I never had that with Colt. I have talked to a few others who had the same problem in early pregnancy. Oh the joys.
6. Been craving sweets. The other day I made Pioneer Woman's Chocolate Sheet Cake with all intentions of that being my dinner, and it was. Mmmm, it was delish! (Didn't really crave much with Colt....just milk and eggs).
So there you have it! I think Colt will be the best big brother ever. He LOVES babies and talks about them all the time. Hopefully, that will transition into OUR new baby when the time comes.
Life is good. God is good.
Have a lovely week, y'all!

Stealin' Pictures

It has been too long since I updated my pics, so I decided to steal pics off of mom's, Julie's and Jordan's Facebook pages. Fact of the matter is I am too tired to go back downstairs, get my camera, come back upstairs and upload pics. One day soon I hope to have the energy to do so, but in the meantime, stealin' em will do.
So here are some very random pics.
My sis Julie is engaged! She came to TN to dress shop and on the 3rd trip to try on THE dress see if you can guess who had to tag along!
The most random pic on here. This is from the rodeo back in January. Me and Elsie the Cow! She was so sweet. I love her. We are friends. Call me, Elsie, you heifer! : )
Now this was a riot! We took Colt to feed the ducks and geese at the lake by our house. Instead of pinching off a piece of bread, Colt was throwing WHOLE pieces at the ducks and they were landing right at his feet. Me, mom, and Julie were cracking up!
Ahhhhh, Lovey. Colt L-O-V-E-S Lovey. They are best buddies. What would we do without Lovey?! Oh my, I hope I don't have to find out anytime soon because that would mean Lovey is MIA, and that would be B-A-D. I desperately need to find a "stand-by" Lovey. Only one I have found was on Ebay for $40-something....USED.....are you KIDDING me?! No thanks.
Annnnnd, a cute pic of Jordan.

I am looking forward to a real update....we have moved to Tennessee, had many play dates, had lots of company, and countless cute Colt pics. Coming soon let's hope....

Easter 2010

I realized that I am too busy these days to scrapbook every holiday like I used to; SO I have now concluded that I will post all my fave pics and print my blog at the end of each year. After what seemed like 5 hours to upload these pics, I present to you, Easter 2010. (Seriously, Blogger, can't you get with the times and upload more pics at once and much faster!!!??? AMEN???!!!)

I can't go on without saying: HE IS RISEN! Forget the bunnies and eggs, today is so much more than that! We serve a God who rose from the grave and awaits us in Heaven! A true miracle.

The Easter Bunny found Colt! Pretty sure he left the Peeps for Mommy. : )
Waiting on me to open his sucker for him.
