What a busy summer!

How cute is my niece Haley Beth!!??
Jordan and I were trying to be a good aunt and uncle, but she was not impressed!
Sister shot! Julie, me, Haley Beth, and Ashley (Mom makes us pose by these stinkin bulls evertime she comes to town!)
Smile Sophie!!! How hilarious are her bottom teeth!
Sophie was glued to mom and Haley at ALL feedings!
And mom even gave her a bite of rice cereal!! SO SPOILED!!
Wii Fun!

Well we have had a fun-filled August! My mom was here for 3 weeks--and let me tell you Jordan and I are missing our live-in maid and cook! We loved having her here! My sister Julie stayed here while mom was here too- and for one week Ashley, Josh, and Haley Beth were here too! We had a FULL house, but it was a blast! Mom, Sally (Jordan's mom), and I went to a scrapbook bed and breakfast for a weekend. It was too much fun! I scrapped our trip to Hawaii and started Colt's book....yes, I said COLT!! We are about 95% sure we our going to name our little man Colt Clifford Mycoskie. : ) Mom, Sally, Julie, and I went to the Women of Faith conference in Dallas last weekend. It is the best, most uplifting conference. If you ever have a chance to go, GO! While mom was here we got to see a 4D ultrasound of Colt...he is a cutie!!! I CANNOT wait for him to be here!!!! I have been working on his room. Jordan's parents bought us a rocking chair and I just sit in it wishing I was holding him! I cannot believe it is only like 9 weeks until he is here! Jordan has been the sweetest thing. He is already the most adorable daddy ever! I started back to work 2 weeks ago. I forgot how exhausting the first weeks of school are...especially being over 30 weeks pregnant! Whew! But I have a sweet class and I am already worried about who my long-term maternity sub will be and praying she will do a good job. It's hard to leave after you get attached to those sweet kids! Jordan and I have decieded that I am going to stay home after the baby comes. I have had many a night where I cry myself to sleep worrying over what to do. I want to stay home MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD, but just worry about eating and paying bills. I finally realized what Jordan has never even questioned...that God has never let us down and will always take care of us. I would rather worry about bills than my baby anyways! I can always teach or work, but will never get these precious days back with our son. So we are going to make whatever sacrifices are needed and put our family first and know that God is on our side!
Here are some pics from all the family visiting Texas! And, by the way, Sophie LOVES having babies around! She was never more than 3 feet away from Haley. It was a hoot! All the toys, snacks that get dropped, noises....right up her alley!

AND!!!! WELCOME TO TEXAS ASH, JOSH, AND HALEY!!! That's right! My sister's family moved to Bedford this weekend!! Wa-hoo!!! Now me and both of my sister are Texans! CRAZY! Now we just need mom and dad's house to sell so they can join us!

The decision to leave work definitely makes you think about both sides. I had a hard time leaving teaching but so wanted to be there with our baby girl. The budget definitely gets tight, but there are coupons to clip and cheap(er) ways of cooking, etc. You can always just pull your retirement money out if you get too desperate...I speak from experience!

I love the name Colt!! Glad you had fun with your family.

I'm pretty sure I was on the same flight as your dad on Sunday from Houston to Nashville. I was going to say something to him but didn't see him once we got off the plane.

I love the name Colt! Cute! Yes staying home will definitely be worth it. I went back when Alex was 6 months for one final year and I'm so glad I'm staying home now...but there was never any doubt what I wanted to do. I'm with Angie...my check is coming the end of this month:)

I LOVE the name Colt!!! Sorry I'm so late at checking this blog!! :) I have LOVED staying home... it takes getting used to at first and you'll be shocked at how your whole day will fill up feeding, changing diapers, and staring at your precious one, but it's amazing! You will be a fabulous mommy!!
