Colt Mycoskie

Here is Colt in his car seat ready to leave the hospital!
Isn't he handsome! I love all that hair!

How special it was that Elizabeth was there for the birth of my sweet baby boy!

Jordan holding Colt just minutes after he was born.

Love at first sight!!!!
Having Colt here is the best thing in the world! My parents have been here helping out which has been wonderful....mom has caught up all my laundry, cooked every meal, and cleaned nonstop. THANK YOU, Mom and Dad!! I am trying to learn how to sleep...at night I put him in his bassinet by our bed. As soon as he makes a peep I am up like a shot cat to check on him. So I pretty much have not slept. Any advice or is it just like that at the beginning?
He is beautiful and handsome and perfect in every way!!!
Love to you all,
Colt's mom

Awww, congrats! He is beautiful! I know it is so hard to sleep with them right beside you...you hear EVERY little sound they make! It will get better - just take lots of naps! :) Congratulations!

Gorgeous pictures! I haven't slept through the night since Emily was born! I think it comes with the territory... and is oh so worth it!

OH LORI...he is beautiful! Boys are so fun! Ummm...yeah...that no sleeping thing...not fun! Sam slept during the day and was awake all night...it took him a while to figure all that out. I slept during the day...or whenever I could. Luckily Sam's room was across the hall, so that made it a little easier to have him in there. It WILL PASS and he will sleep all through the night believe it or not. Sam slept through the night around 2-3 months...and pretty much has ever since. If you can make it through those first few months, you are good! I'll be praying for you. No sleeping will make you feel like you are going crazy...it IS NORMAL (no one told me that)! You'll be great and what a good reason to "NOT SLEEP"! He is precious and I am so happy for you and Jordan! Hang in there and enjoy that sweet sweet baby! Keep the pictures coming!

Oh sleep, it used to just be something we did, now I view sleep as a blessing. I was up at 3:30 am Wed morning and never went back to sleep (Lola was fussy from her shots). It will get better and you will get more used to him and all his noises. Some of the best advice I got as a new Mommy came from our doctor at Lola's 2 week appt. He gave us a lecture about putting her in her crib in her own room. He promised we would sleep better and she would too. We did this at 3 weeks, and for the most part she is a great sleeper (started sleeping through the night at 2 months). Give it some time, but I promise it gets better. Also, sleep during the day when he is sleeping. You feel so overwhelmed and want to do so much (like updating your blog, emailing, getting photos developed, reading Mommy books, writing in baby book, etc.) but all that stuff can wait a few weeks. Glad you parents are still there, what a blessing. Colt is adorable! xo Cristie

He is so precious! Enjoy not getting to sleep! I know that sounds funny...but I have been kind of missing Colton getting up in the middle of the night! Love his hair. :)Congratulations you and your new family of three!

Congrats Lori! Colt is just beautiful and I LOVE all his hair! I'm such a hard sleeper that I have never heard either one of my kids even when they are right beside me. Thank goodness Mark does! :) Like everyone says sleep during the day when you can and cherish every moment before long they are toddlers!

He is so sweet and precious! I love all of his hair. I LOVE the pic of you with him and it looks like he is peeping over the blanket and his eyes are so wide and awake. Congratulations!

More sweet pictures of Colt! I love them! You are doing everything that all new moms do!! Your sleeping habits will change forever. You wake up now at his every peep and before you know it you will be staying awake waiting for him to come in at night! Believe me... it happens in the blink of an eye!! Love and enjoy it all!!! :)

Congrats to the Mycoskies on baby Colt! He is a doll, and I know you're so proud. Enjoy every moment. I can just picture you jumping like a scared cat at every peep. I would too. Sorry I don't have any advice on how to rest easier. Love!!!
